BIOTOPE AQUARIUM MODEL: Borneo or Kalimantan, is the third largest island in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia, located north of Java, west of Sulawesi and east of Sumatra.
Politically, the island is divided between three countries: Malaysia and Brunei in the north, and Indonesia in the south. About 73% of the island of Borneo is in Indonesian territory. The Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak make up 26% of the island's area. More than half of the island of Borneo is located in the Northern Hemisphere, including parts of Malaysia and Brunei.
