Ennui is a 2.5 week old Grey-Headed Flying-Fox baby who was found on the grass in a suburban backyard. The lovely MOPs kept their dog in, and got her safely into a box.
Despite being very bright eyed, I could tell this little one had internal injuries. She was put to bed with glucose, fluids and analgesia to see if she could survive her fall injuries.
The next morning she was mostly dead, so I took her off to be euthanased. She didn't make it to the vet. She had swelling over her right chest wall which suggests chest and lung trauma.
RIP little Ennui. I'm sorry I couldn't pull you through.
