Grade your church's guest readiness with our rubric grading scale: email askachristianfriend@gmail.com and put "get guest ready" in the subject line.
On any given weekend, and especially on Easter and Christmas, new guests will arrive at your church. Some will be visiting for the very first time, and they'll be considering whether or not they'll be back for a second visit! Church leaders who are evangelistic will always be trying to improve first impressions of your church community in order to give those first time guests the best shot of feeling included and interested in getting involved or even becoming members.
As part of our church's attempts to get ready to receive an influx of guests as a result of GC and Central California Conference combined efforts, I'm recording some of my thoughts on having a guest ready church. This is part one of a seven part rubric dealing with on-site (web and social presence are a whole other series to come) opportunities for being ready!
If you don't have time to watch, here are some of the basics...
As yourself how your church measures up on a scale of 1 to 5 for the following:
Attractive Signage with plenty of visible lead time before needing to turn in to driveway.
Attractive , clear main entry.
Marked places for visitors, veterans, handicapped or other focus.
Well maintained buildings and landscaping.
Attractive seasonal decor.
