Newly elected Confederation of African Football president, Ahmad Ahmad, has become the first high-ranking football official to visit Somalia. He jetted into the country on Monday. Ahmad has been warmly received by Somalia's Minister of Youth and Sports. The two have visited various sports facilities across Mogadishu -- including the Mogadishu stadium -- which has been used as a base for the AU peacekeeping mission in the country. Ahmad's visit is seen as an encouraging step for football stakeholders in the East African nation.
