Living and working in Dubai, Kristel Bechara is known for her innovative use of dynamic patterns and expressive colors, which are set against a monochromatic background, creating imagery that is vivid and thought provoking.
Kristel has also found recognition for being a pioneer of NFT art in the Middle East, being the first female Arab in the region to adopt the technology in the creation of her digital art. Her work has been displayed in galleries across the world, earning great appreciation in Tokyo, Milano, London, Côte d'Azur and Brussels, to name a few.
"The Voyageur" series is an homage to the spirit of the adventurous traveler, who lives beyond the fear of the unknown and navigates fantastical places that exist in realms of their own. Based around the culminating moment of the Voyageur’s journey, as she reaches the shores of a new utopian city, this series takes the viewer on a visual journey where fantasy meets history and technology merges with magic.
Each artwork is an individual exploration of the various elements at play in the masterpiece: The Contemplative Voyageur, Kitsune, The Arabesque City of the Future, The Majestic Vessels of the Skies and Seas.
