The issue of maritime boundaries concerning the Johor Bahru Port Limits (JPL) and the area off Tuas has become one of several contentious Malaysia-Singapore bilateral disputes of late, alongside Singapore's use of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) from Seletar Airport and the Water Agreement issue.
In this video, we attempt to illustrate the development and subsequent de-escalation of the maritime conflict, from the initial alteration of the JPL to the reversion of both nations’ port limits.
