In this video, I share my findings on how to shut down the WD My Cloud NAS. I got this personal Cloud Storage a few days ago and generally I am really happy with it, but it just won’t turn off. While searching for a way to turn the WD My Cloud off, I discovered the mystery of the hidden power button. I hope you found this video because you have the same problem and that I can actually help you with that, as I personally got very frustrated with it. A quick overview:
1. The root of the Problem is a WD My Cloud Firmware update.
2. This update hides the power/shutdown button in the WD My Cloud Web Interface
3. There are two versions of the firmware, only one of them causes this problem.

In this video I will show you how to unhide the power button and safely shut down your WD My Cloud NAS. The good part about this solution is that we do not need to dive into the code of the hard drive, so we can’t mess anything up.
