The young German priest Arnold Janssen is travelling through his native land. Hes
got an extraordinary project into his head a training centre for missionaries. An idea
that just wont leave him in peace. Overcoming all resistance, hes pursuing his plan.
The beginnings in an old pub in Steyl are more than humble. Hardly anyone would
have thought that out of this modest start there would one day arise a missionary
organisation spanning the World. The documentary tells the story of Arnold Janssen
and his organisation, from the beginnings in Steyl, through the sending out of the first
missionaries and the founding of the womens religious orders to his death in 1909.
