The Vayalar Award - 2019 was presented to Sri. P. Jayachandran at a grand function organised at the Regional Theatre Thrissur. The award and citation was presented by Sri. Jose Alukkas. Dr.Mohanan, dean of Kerala Health University, Dr.Santhoshkumar, C.S.Ajayakumar, etc. were present. After the function, there was music night, in which many vayalar songs are sung.
