I am truly honored to support the first-ever endowed bursary at the School of Continuing Studies. We commit $100,000 to fund this one-of-a-kind bursary that will support two domestic and two international students in financial need starting in 2023.
I started my journey as an international student at the age of 19 to Ukraine and later moved to Canada from Ukraine with my wife and 2-year daughter, 10 months old son, as an adult international student. I am involved in the international education industry for 21 years as a study abroad consultant and also worked as the international student recruitment officer in Conestoga College, Mohawk College.
I was born in Hyderabad, South India, in a middle-class family. My father was a Public Prosecutor but his salary was less than 500$/month. My parents strived to give me the best education, saved every rupee, and put me in a good convent school. It was financially difficult but my parents and extended family supported my study abroad.
Canada welcomed me, my family, and blessed me with great career opportunities, and today as the CEO CIP STUDYABROAD, I am blessed to have this opportunity to give back to support our Canadian students and international students in financial need.
As a social enterprise, we are committed lifetime in the international education industry and will invest our efforts to make a difference and support the local community and international students. We look forward to supporting York University SCS and other higher education institutions in the future with more scholarships and bursaries.
Best regards.
