Chad is hitting the road in his classic Volkwagen Karmann Ghia to see who supports Australian entrepreneurs. From day 1 on the Sunshine Coast, Chad Renando expects to take 10 months to visit about 60 locations to map the Entrepreneurial landscape in Australia. They may include local Governments, innovation hubs, startup, co-working spaces and investment groups and Chad will find out who does it well and understand the differences across regions.
Chad was inspired to undertake this research from his work at Firestation 101, a local government innovation hub in Ipswich, he wanted to know what was the role of local Governments so he went to the USA to visit about 50 locations in 7 cities to ask that question.
With an impressive body of work already Chad is also thinking of how to connect the existing hubs to build capability and capacity and how to build resilience in communities where market disruption occurs and large numbers of staff find themselves out of a job.
