I talk with Asad Rehman about climate justice and importance of internationalism, and the implications for COP26
Asad Rehman is the executive director of the radical anti-poverty and social justice charity War on Want, working to achieve a vision of a just world, through their mission to fight against the root causes of poverty, inequality and human rights violationS. He is a leading climate justice activist helping to reframe the climate crisis as a crisis of inequality and injustice. Over 35 years he has worked with many social movements both globally and nationally including the anti-racist movement, a founder of the Stop the War Coalition and in the alter-globalisation movement, and climate justice movement. He has served on boards of Amnesty International UK, Friends of the Earth International, Global Justice Now, and Newham Monitoring Project.
