Children and youth today are facing more stressors at home and school and they may also be worried about other issues such as household finances, racial injustice, and environmental concerns. These stressful life events and other risk factors can contribute to Persistent Depressive Disorder (PDD) and impact adulthood. Additionally, experiencing childhood adversity and having family members with a history of depression may also increase the risk for PDD. This webinar discussed this important but often overlooked diagnosis by focusing on early onset PDD in the midst of the youth mental health crisis.
