(25 May 2017) People continued to add to the sea of tributes in Manchester's St. Ann's Square on Monday as the UK remembered the 22 people who were killed in a suicide bomb attack earlier in the week.
Flowers, candles, football scarves and balloons surrounded a statue in the middle of the square.
As one woman left flowers, she called for people to come together.
"We've all got similar qualities that bring us together, we are all mums, dads, we want a free society," local resident Yasmin Haque said.
"We've got such a wonderful country here, that's why I don't understand why these people have done what they have done," she added.
The streets around Manchester Arena, where the attack happened after an Ariana Grande concert, remained cordoned off on Thursday.
