On Nov 11, 2022, Small World reopened with its holiday overlay and 2 new additions: dolls representing wheelchair users. "The dolls in wheelchairs can be spotted in the Latin America and finale scenes of the Disneyland ride. The wheelchairs were designed and hand-crafted through a collaboration between Disney Imagineers, the Resort Enhancement, Animation, and Wardrobe departments, and the Enabled Business Employee Resource Group, which advocates on behalf of cast members and guests with disabilities." - Attractions Magazine.
