Kenya's Faith Kipyegon broke her second world record in the span of a week, winning the 5,000 meters in 14:05.20 on Friday at the Paris Diamond League meet, eclipsing the 2020 standard of 14:06.62 achieved by Letesenbet Gidey of Ethiopia. She broke the 1,500-meter world record with a 3:49.11 performance June 2 in Florence, Italy.
