I'm currently teaching 'Transmission & Drive Trains' so have made a start putting a few videos in the 'can' covering some transmission basics.
This video covers the simple, though often neglected, task of fitting the metal retaining bands to both CV & Tripod joint boots. Some use cable ties as a last resort, these just don't provide the clamping force needed and are not suitable.
So, here's the right way of fitting these clips...
