In the midwar years, in 1920, it operated as the first hotel in the wider area under the distinctive name of "Titania".
During World War II, the building was commandeered by the Italian occupying forces and functioned as a Carabinieri and Administrative center, housing the Italian garrison there.
This was also the reason why in March 1943, at this very spot, the first reactionary action of Pelion took place, with the Greek rebels of ELAS who victorious bombed the building. Along with the Italian garrison, most of the artistic marble balconies of the building were destroyed. Only the front two, with their marble pediments, were saved.
After the liberation in 1952, the building was reconstructed and reopened as a hotel, under the name "HELLAS". It consisted of 16 rooms and 1 shared bathroom. The cobbled street that passes in front of the hotel and leads to Achillopouleio and Nanopouleio school up to Agios Taxiarches, was then the main street of Tsagarada. Famous Konstantinos Karamanlis, as the responsible Minister of Public Works at the time, with his wife Amalia, stayed at the hotel while watching the construction of "Xenia" Tsagarada in 1955.
The years that followed established it as the central destination for many famous artists and politicians of the times. In 1977 "HELLAS" closes down and remains closed until 1997 where, after three years of extensive building and remodeling projects, it reopens as a hotel. In 2004 the property and the business were purchased by the current owners, who through various aesthetic and functional interventions and modifications, with much and hard personal work and driven by their love both for the building itself and for the specific object, they manage to restore the glamor and recognition it deserves, giving it international appeal..
The business operates as a hotel continuously to this day. A unique independent restaurant business is also operated on the premises by the same owners with great success, which takes advantage of part of the property's beautiful spaces such as the great highcelling hall, the enchanting terraced (with platforms) garden and the characteristic charming treehouse.
Both the hotel and the restaurant appear in the first positions of all international tourist guides and with countless laudatory articles and tributes in many major international newspapers and magazines.
