As of recent estimates, approximately 5.8 million Puerto Ricans or descendants of Puerto Ricans live in the U.S. states, compared to about 3.1 million residing on the island of Puerto Rico. This means roughly 65% of all Puerto Ricans live in the mainland U.S., while the remaining 35% live on the island. Today, Puerto Ricans live in every state, including Alaska. However, we're going to count down the top ten states where they have made the most impact.
