My newest Guitar Tone of the Week is here! This time I went a bit more traditional, busting out the stock Quad Cortex Peavey 5150III amp capture on the Quad Cortex. My signal chain starts with the Maxxon OD 808 overdrive pedal into the 5150III capture, then into my favorite SPRES impulse responses, some slight reverb from a reverb block and then my normal EQ block settings at the end. I am pretty happy with this guitar tone as it is heavy and cutting, but still has a thickness to it in the mix. The EVH amps will just forever be my favorite, no matter how many other amps I try throughout my lifetime! Let me know how y’all like this one, and check back again soon for more!
