Former Army chief Peter Leahy says the government has “no money” to better protect its vulnerable military bases and ADF personnel.
“We’ve seen testimonies and Senate Estimates just recently where defence officials said they had to reprioritise money and the budget and do this Joint Air Battle Management System in two parts,” he told Sky News host James Macpherson.
“First one is to get the brains and then wait for the technology to catch up – doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.”
