"Tulsa County Blue" written by Pamela Polland was recorded by the Byrds for their Columbia album, Ballad of Easy Rider, released on November 10, 1969. The lead vocal was sung by Roger McGuinn who also played guitar. Other personnel on the album were Clarence White on lead guitar, vocals, Gene Parsons on drums, guitar, banjo, vocals, John York on electric bass, vocals, & Byron Berline on Fiddle. The album peaked at number 36 on the Billboard Top LPs chart and number 41 on the UK Albums Chart.
