Whenever you change or upload a new Facebook Profile Picture, everyone is notified and most people prefer it this way. But if you want to discreetly do so, without notifying any of your Facebook Friends, then here is what you need to do.
When you change or upload a new profile picture on Facebook, you need to make this update “Private”.
For that, you need to click on the globe sign visible next to the date/time and select 'Only me'.
You can follow the same procedure to change the Facebook Cover Photo too, without sending notifications to your Friends.
