As per the latest news, ED Heat turns up on AAP Minister Satyendar Jain Team from the investigative body arrives at Tihar Jail, the first cabinet minister to be questioned with respect to the Liquor Scam Probe. ED had gotten a green signal from the Delhi Court to question him for 3 days. He will be questioned in connection with approval by the cabinet in the implementation of the Excise policy. Satyendar Jain will be the first Cabinet Minister who is been questioned in connection with this case.
Satyendar Jain has been imprisoned for over three months now since he was arrested on May 30 in another money-laundering case related to alleged hawala transactions.
The ED case of money laundering in the excise policy is based on a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) FIR in which Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and some bureaucrats have been named as accused.
