In this video we are going to show you how to connect an IKEA Trådfri Sensor to a Philips Hue Bridge using the Touchlink method. You have to use an IKEA Trådfri bulb in order for the Trådfri Sensor to work because the sensor will connect directly to the bulb and not to the Philips Hue Bridge itself. You will have to connect the IKEA Trådfri Sensor to the Philips Hue Bridge just in order to make it work on the same Zigbee channel.

Using Hue Essentials app which you can find in the Google Play you can easily connect any Zigbee protocol bulb with easy to your Philips Hue app. Just pressing the “Touchlink” button in the app to make the bulb pulse then pressing the “Search for Lights” button, is all that takes to connect your bulb to the Philips Hue Bridge. This method will be used both for the IKEA Trådfri Bulb and the IKEA Trådfri Sensor. Then after they have been connected with the touchlink method the sensor will have to be paired with the bulb itself.
