In this video, I discuss the use of a Field Maps template for generating future projects. The template, which resides both on my desktop and in the AGOL environment, includes four layers from a local file Geodatabase and a national layer specific to my company. This strategy streamlines workflows by reducing the set-up time for new projects and replicating previously built forms and structures. However, I emphasize caution when replacing operational layers, as the matching URL numbers must be maintained. I also highlight that despite the convenience of templates, some projects may require further customization. Also, editing the summary of the project and changing the title applies to the work in progress. Ultimately, the use of ArcGIS Online Assistant can be instrumental in changing the template to align with the project itself, allowing for all different layers to be applied.
