RC Review of Fat Shark Dom V3 vs Dom V2 What's the difference?
Dave from RTP looks at the differences between the new Dominator V3 and previous Dominator V2 Fat Shark goggles. We actually take a small camera and look at the screen of each goggle so you can see for yourself how they look and compare. Then we record some flight video on the DVRs of each for comparison.

These goggles have a similar price tags but the Dom V2 is harder to find these days.
The HDV2 is a highter price than these two. We may cover the HDV2 in another video although people have said it's 4:3 analog screen looks great but not worth paying the extra money unless you don't have the V2 or V3. The HDV2 excels in the digital format if you have a digital 720p video feed.
These two Dominator goggles are very similar except for the shape of the screen and type of the HDMI port. The Dom V2 is a normal 4:3 aspect ratio screen where as the Dom V3 is a 16:9 aspect ratio screen which horizontally stretches the image from most FPV cameras.
For the digital feed the HDMI port of the V3 accepts a higher resolution of 720p but produces a 800x480 image where as the V2 accepts only 720x480 digital feed and produces the normal 640x480 image. The V3 would be better for using with the digital feed from a photography drone such at the DJI Phantom or Yuneec Q500.
Both can have improved face plate, new DVR and new battery but the V2 must be upgraded with these items.
When looking at the flight video recorded on the V3 an V2 DRVs you will see the picture looks basically the same because the DVRs record in the normal 4:3 640x480 format even though the V3 goggles are 16:9 no difference is noted.
