The Reserve Bank of India on June 2, slashed interest rates by 25 basis points (bps) for the third time this year, citing easing inflation and weakness in growth in the economy. The benchmark repo now stands reduced to 7.25% from 7.5% earlier. The change in repo rate may decrease your EMI further. RBI, however, kept the cash reserve ratio (CRR) unchanged at 4%.
