A collection of animated stereoscopic photographs of Confederate soldiers and/or civilians, fortifications and damage in Fort Moultrie presumably caused by shellfire from Union-held Fort Sumter on April 12-14, 1861. The photographs were taken sometime in the weeks after the bombardment and eventual surrender of Union-held Fort Sumter by Confederate forces (including those in Fort Moultrie) in Charleston, South Carolina, which triggered the start of the American Civil War. All were taken by Charleston photography company Osborn and Durbec.
