An overview on the manufacturing process of two-color printed natural kraft paper SOS bags using an in-line flexographic printing system.
Starting with the raw material, natural kraft paper is fed into the flexographic printing machine. This process uses flexible relief plates to print directly onto the substrate, in this case, applying a two-color design to the kraft paper.
Initially, the first color is applied to the paper, followed by a quick drying period. Subsequently, a second color is added, creating a complementary design that enhances the aesthetic appeal of the bags.
Once the printing stage is completed, the decorated kraft paper proceeds to the converting machine where glue is applied to specific areas. The paper is then expertly folded into the shape of a self-opening satchel (SOS) bag.
The final stage of the manufacturing process involves cutting the continuous chain of bags into individual pieces. The completed SOS bags are then outputted, ready for packaging and shipping.
