To prevent your dog from being reactive, get your dog to keep its mind on you.

Reactive dogs are either fearful or aggressive.

If you don't let them take the time to fixate on one particular thing apart from you they won't be able to overreact.

Reactive dogs should not have the freedom to set the pace on your walks.
