In this video we will show you the 483 years old fort which was constructed by Sultan -Ul-Hind Sher Shah Suri in 1541. The saying about this fort is that it was constructed by men and giants together. The area of this historical and ancient fort is 4 kilometer. This fort have 12 gates, 2 big stepwells, 1 big well, gallows and sub jail, royal hamam and shahi mosque. This fort was constructed at the cost of 34 lac 25 thousands rupees at that time. The map of this fort is irregular and a tomb of one Sufi saint is present outside every gate. Along with many tombs are present inside this fort. A Rani Mahal and Haveli Raja Man Singh were constructed in this fort during Mughal era. Stream Kas is on one side of this fort while the stream Ghaan is present on the other side of this fort and thick forest is situated around this fort. A sacred place of worship of Sikhs Gurdwara Chowa Sahib is situated in front of Talaqi gate. The tomb of Khair-Un-Nisa is situated on a short distance from the main gate of this fort which was the commander in the army of Sher Shah Suri and the daughter of Qadir Baksh which was the food minister in Sher Shah Suri government. A way is going from the Sohail gate of this fort to Tilla Jogian. A Hindu temple is also present inside this fort and a museum has been set up by Archaeology department in this fort. Rohtas Fort is a 16th-century fortress located near the city of Dina in Jhelum district of the Punjab province of Pakistan. Raja Todar Mal, the minister of the king Sher Shah Suri, supervised the construction of the fort which is now one of the largest and most formidable in Punjab. The design of this fort was took from the Rohtas Garh Fort Bihar India and that is the reason it is called Rohtas fort. The fort remains remarkably intact and was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. UNESCO called it an "exceptional example of the Muslim military architect South Asia. There is a canteen and benches for sitting are available for tourists. You can easily go to this fort on any types of motorcycles and vehicles. I hope you will like and enjoy this video.
