We know, we know, "favourite all time pedals" sounds like big words, but hear us out. I first purchased a Boss MT-2 back in 1998 when i was in my teens, and instantly found similar tones to a lot of my favourite bands, through my low budget transistor amp. It was just good craic, and that scooped over-the-top sound is a teenage metal fan's dream!

Fast forward 10 years later, and with more high end valve amps now in my possession, i plugged in the MT-2 for old times sake. It sounded even better. The valve response really brought out more nuanced mid ranges and the scooped freq's didn't sound so processed.

And today, over 25 years since my original purchase of the Boss Metal Zone, i can still get that HUGE Marshall Stack tone of my youth, through my much smaller Blackstar HT Combo, and it still sounds damn fine and provides all the heft i'll ever need to have the absolute craic. Say what you will about the Metal Zone, but if you know, you know. 25 years of solid riffage. Enjoy! - We still are!
