Today I test out the face tracking autofocus on the brand new Canon 50mm 1.8 STM Lens. The lens is definitely going to compare well with the 50mm 1.4 and easily beats the old 50mm 1.8 II (nifty fifty).

In this video I test out the Canon 50 1.8 STM's bokeh, do some image samples, test out the video quality and test out the autofocus.

The 50mm f/1.8 STM's autofocus has greatly improved, especially when you pair the 50mm f/1.8 STM up with a camera like the Canon 70d or T6s/T6i. Video autofocus works great too.
