STORYLINE:
On December 20th 2010 six men were found guilty of involvement in a cell that was allegedly plotting attacks on Western hotels and embassies in the world's most populous Muslim nation.
Mutarto, chief judge at the South Jakarta District Court, said the militants were given prison terms ranging from seven to nine years.
TV footage showed the court session of the four men out of six.
Later in the day, another two men were brought to court and faced their trial.
They were among more than 70 suspects who have been captured or killed for allegedly helping set up the "Al-Qaida in Aceh" insurgency cell and militant training camp that was uncovered by authorities in westernmost Aceh province last February.
Police say the group was made up of Islamic extremists from several different militant networks, including Jemaah Islamiyah, blamed for a series of suicide bombings that have left more than 160 people dead in Indonesia since 2002.
Many of the victims have been foreigners.
Mutarto said Oman Rohman was given the highest sentence, nine years, after being found guilty of giving two-thousand US dollars to late militant chief Dulmatin, to help recruit and train militants for the terror cell.
Munir, also known as Abu Rimba, got the lightest sentence, seven years, for helping bring militants to the camp, he said.
The others, Adi Munadi, Deni Suhendra, Ade Miroz and Ismarwan, got eight years for taking part in training exercises and using fire arms.
