In US news and current events today, clinics in South Korea, Australia, and Germany have set up drive-thru coronavirus testing sites in an attempt to stop the spread of COVID-19.
‘We believe it will be very effective in supporting isolation and barriers for patients with respiratory infections, ’ Tom Dodd, Clinic Service Director, South Australian Pathology, said.
On March 3, a drive-thru testing clinic was opened in Daegu, South Korea. South Korea has seen more than 7,300 confirmed cases and 50+ deaths due to COVID-19. Officials say the drive-thru testing only takes approx 10 minutes and prevents close contact between potential patients. A hospital in Australia also opened a drive-thru coronavirus testing clinic on March 10, 2020, to help stop the spread of the virus. And in Germany, where there have been 1,100+ confirmed cases, a drive-thru coronavirus testing clinic was opened in the town of Gross-Gerau to help stop the virus’s spread.
