Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Cerro Porteno left-back Diego Leon. The 17-year-old has established himself as the first-choice left-back and made 19 league appearances this season. An initial fee of £3.1m has been agreed, with negotiations ongoing for add-ons and economic rights. Leon, who turns 18 next April, is keen to play in the 2025 Copa Libertadores before joining United. Cerro Porteno's vice-president confirmed Leon will not join United until next summer at the earliest.
