Synopsis - It is an adaptation of Franz Kafka's short story entitled 'A Hunger Artist'. The story deals with a young man in his late twenties, Bhuto, belonging to the lower middle class income group. He regularly sits on 'bhuk hartal' (hunger strikes) protesting against the international incidents of violence happening all over the world. He gets used to tolerate hunger for days as the occurrences of violence are so very frequent across the globe in our times. A street-smart business-minded friend, called Ghona, picks him up as a prized pawn, who he can take advantage of. Ghona can see 'a hunger artist' in him and asks him to sell his 'art of hunger' as a 'reality show' artist which will earn them money. What becomes of Bhuto...is he able to hold on to his righteousness or does he get swayed by the fame & fortune.
