On sale in the US of A since the 2023 model year, the current Sportage will get a nip and tuck for 2026. To be revealed in the first half of 2025, the facelift has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring with three items that you won't find in the new Sportage's options list.
Those would be a roll cage and Recaro bucket seats for the driver and front passenger. Fitted with Michelin rubber mounted on bi-tone wheels, the prototype appears to be as close to production-ready status as it gets. The compact SUV flaunts a revised front bumper and grille, along with Sorento-inspired headlights.
Kia has also worked its magic on the rear lights and bumper, although to a lesser extent than what's featured up front. Although the spy photographers didn't manage to get a shot of the dashboard, we look forward to a variety of updates previewed by the Hyundai Tucson.
The highlights come in the form of a column shifter and more physical buttons and knobs instead of the pre-facelift model's touch-sensitive controls. Hyundai further improved its best-selling nameplate with 12.3-inch displays that share a single glass piece.
As far as the infotainment system is concerned, it rocks a revamped interface, faster processing speeds, and wireless Apple CarPlay. Wireless Android Auto is also featured, as is a charging pad for wireless charging. For 2025, the Hyundai-branded cousin also introduced a head-up display, over-the-air software updates, and a fingerprint authentication system.
