Today, I attended the Inaugural Ceremony of the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival at the Netaji Indoor Stadium.
It was a gratifying experience to spend the evening with some of the country's most accomplished and talented artists.
Firstly, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. C.V. Anand Bose, His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal, esteemed Amit ji and Jaya ji, and the Guest of Honor and my dearest brother Shah Rukh Khan.
In addition to the other eminent dignitaries, Shri Mahesh Bhatt and Shri Shatrughan Sinha, and distinguished guests, Smt. Rani Mukherjee, Shri Kumar Sanu, and beloved Arijit Singh, I'd like to express my earnest gratitude to the evening's Special Guest, Shri Sourav Ganguly.
I would also like to convey my heartfelt congratulations to our cherished Mrs. Dona Ganguly for her graceful dance performance.
Films are the binding connection between the cultures of the world. And today's event was a reminder of that. I am certain that after today's event, more and more youth will be inspired to create great works of art and cinema.
Bengal, which is home to some of the most renowned artists in the world, is dedicated to fostering fresh and emerging talent for the world to witness for as long as its soil lives on.
Bengal will live on with its legendary history and continue to march towards a glorious tomorrow with its head held high!
