Hands of Healing - The legacy of Muiz Ullah Baig
Muiz Ullah Baig is a bone setter from Gulmit Gojal, Hunza belonging from the Indigenous Wakhi clan, inheriting a rare and invaluable skill set in bone fixing, physiotherapy, and vein alignment passed down from his grandfather. For over 15 years, Muiz has selflessly treated more than 8,000 patients free of charge, guided by a dedication to his community. His unique ability to diagnose conditions through touch alone is a testament to his deep knowledge and experience. With his entire family engaged in this indigenous practice, Muiz is helping to preserve a healing tradition that has been a lifeline for his community. Today, he continues to serve as a beacon of health and tradition in Hunza.
