Last time out, we battled (and bravely ran away from) spiders. This time, we have to deal with toxic waste. For all that the UAC claims to be doing with advanced resource creation and terraforming, they still love their poison.

Doom 3 was developed by id Software and published by Activision. It was originally released in 2004 for Windows PC and Linux with Mac OS and Xbox releases following in 2005. A remastered re-release of the game called Doom 3: BFG Edition was developed by id Software and published by Bethesda. This version of the game was released in 2012 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC while a subsequent port to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One was released in 2019.

This let's play is being completed using the Doom 3: BFG Edition of the game which comes with a number of changes and/or enhancements from the original release. It also includes two expansions: Resurrection of Evil and The Lost Mission.

In Doom 3, the player is a nameless Space Marine who is sent to the United Aerospace Corporation's Mars base as punishment for striking a superior officer. Almost immediately upon arrival, one of the strange experiments of Delta Labs goes wrong and the base is overrun by demons possessing and killing the UAC's staff and forces on Mars. With the situation completely out of control, only one marine can hope to save the day.
