Ep.26 Setting the New Normal - Part3. Post-COVID International Relations

As COVID-19 spread worldwide, many countries restricted transportation not only between cities but also between countries, and shut down their borders. Containment policies in various countries led to severance among nations. In face of the powerful virus, solidarity of the world collapsed, and due to the political and economical conflict between the world-leading powers U.S. and China, leadership disappeared. How should the world unite, in the world after COVID-19, in the "New Normal Era?"

In "Setting the New Normal," where we listen to the predictions of three of our world's change-leading experts, following economist Daniel Stelter, in episode three we introduce the prospects of Chancellor Kim Joon-hyung, head of South Korea's foreign policy think tank. In episode three, Chancellor Kim examines what impacts COVID-19 has had on world order, as well as what changes the shift in U.S. leadership amidst a pandemic situation may bring worldwide. In addition, he proposes the roles and goals the Korean peninsula must take on in the upcoming era of the New Normal.
