Recently I flew on MX224 from Charleston, SC to Norfolk, VA. We were delayed taking off by 3 hours due to the cloud base being below the RNAV minimums in Norfolk, VA and an Inop Instrument Landing System (ILS). Once we got near Norfolk, the clouds went below the RNAV (GPS) approach minimums again. The pilots decided to start a diversion to Richmond, VA. Luckily, a Delta Connection Mitsubishi CRJ900 managed to make it into Norfolk just as we started the diversion. The pilots turned back and managed to make it! Which is very lucky as I had a connecting flight at Norfolk and made it with 15 minutes to spare! As soon as I sat down "Boarding complete" was announced over the tannoy!
