Hanuman Tok is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the Hindu god of strength and devotion. It's perched atop a hill overlooking the city, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains.o get to Hanuman Tok Temple, you can take a taxi or hire a car. The temple is located about 2 kilometers from the city center. The road up to the temple is a bit winding and narrow, but it's in good condition. As you arrive at Hanuman Tok Temple, you'll be greeted by a beautiful whitewashed gate. The temple complex is quite large, with a courtyard, a main temple, and a few smaller shrines.The main temple is a beautiful two-story structure. The exterior is adorned with intricate carvings, and the interior is filled with colorful frescoes. Inside the main temple, there is a large statue of Lord Hanuman. Devotees come from all over India to worship here.here are a few smaller shrines located around the main temple. These shrines are dedicated to other Hindu deities, such as Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga.One of the best things about Hanuman Tok Temple is the amazing views. You can see the entire city of Gangtok from the top of the hill. On a clear day, you can even see the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.Hanuman Tok Temple is a must-visit for anyone visiting Gangtok. It's a beautiful temple with a rich history and stunning views.
