This car shown here, which was previously sold by @luxsportmotorgroup, is a virtually brand new example of a 2021 Mercedes-Benz G 550 SUV, and it’s the latest car to be featured in our ‘Drive & Review’ series on our YouTube channel, which is a collection of videos showcasing unique, and interesting cars driven by us, alongside a thorough and detailed review of each car. This 2021 G 550 is finished in ‘Polar White’ over a Black leather interior, and it is equipped with all of the standard equipment, with the addition of optional 19” twin 5-spoke wheels finished in black paint. The first drivable prototype of the G-Class appeared for the first time in 1974, and production officially took place by the year 1979. During the 1980’s, a number of improvements were made to the model, including automatic transmission, air conditioning, fuel injection, more comfortable and supportive front seats, and much more. The ‘W463 Second Generation’ Mercedes-Benz G-Class was first ever introduced to the world in 2018 at the at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, and is still in production to this day. This latest edition to the G-Class lineup is larger overall in comparison to it’s predecessor, and the reason for this is said to be to improve driving stability, sturdier side impact protection, and seating comfort. The second generation of the W463 G-Class also features a ground-up redesign, which also includes the interior, which now is equipped with a new instrument cluster and infotainment system, a dual 12-inch LCD display, a Burmester Surround-Soundsystem, and much, much more! Under the hood of this beast is a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 that’s good for 416 horsepower, which is sent through a 9-speed shiftable automatic transmission. The W463 Second-Generation Mercedes G-Class design is credited to Balázs Filczer, and the model is manufactured by Magna Steyr AG & Co KG, and sold by Mercedes-Benz.
