Gita Magar is a community health volunteer, learning about cholera and how it is spread and prevented. Today, she is part of a team of health volunteers and workers administering oral cholera vaccine to the people of her village in Rupani Rural Municipality, Nepal to protect them against the deadly disease.

IVI organized this mass vaccination campaign in the Saptari District of Nepal, vaccinating 28,000 people against cholera in an effort to prevent and control cholera outbreaks, an effort made possible through the partnership of SmileGate and the Nepalese government.
