Not Forgotten is a short film about the homeless people in Australia. Everyday, the homeless are ignored and looked down upon for their unfortunate situation and yet, it was something they couldn't control.
My school ran a film competition and I decided to do the topic of homelessness whilst incorporating two of my school's values, care and service. Why I chose homelessness? Because I want to change people's mindset about people living rough on the streets. There is more to their story than what we know and I hope this film will open the eyes of many people to this big issues that occurs worldwide.
Almost becoming homeless myself, I feel very strong towards this issue. It may only be a small step for spreading awareness, but one day, I hope this small drop in the ocean of change will help to rid of homelessness altogether and make the forgotten feel not forgotten.
