Hi, friends welcome to my channel “my mom’s diaries”. Kolam was widely famous in India. Kolam is like a morning ritual in the south part of India. Especially every woman in Tamilnadu starts their day by putting kolam in front of their house in the meaning of welcoming the god Lakshmi to their house. Nowadays kolam flour is made of both limestone power and rice flour but in ancient times the kolam flour is made of only rice flour since this also used as a food for ants. Rangoli designs are widely famous in North India. During the festival season, we can see many types of colors rangoli designs in their homes. In south India, we can see much different variety of kolam like Rangoli, kambi kolam, pulli kolam, sikku kolam, colour rangoli, neli kolam, etc. Kolam is an art like a painting, not everyone can master it, if we practice it we can master it.
