In this video, I show you how to hand sew a half double-backstitch. This is a backstitch that I just came up with while playing with my needle and threads trying different stitches for fun. I love how the stitch looks similar on both sides making it a hand stitch that looks like a machine stitch. It is a fairly easy stitch that anyone can hand sew. Very beginner friendly. This stitch can be used in any hand sewing projects. I really wanted the video to be an asmr type video but it may be some time before I do asmr sewing videos. I hope you enjoyed the music. Basic Hand Sewing Terms:
Needle - A slender tool with a pointed tip used for sewing.
Thread - The material used to stitch fabric together.
Fabric - The textile material you sew.
Seam - The line where two pieces of fabric are joined.
Stitch - A single loop or knot made with a needle and thread.
Thimble - A small protective cap worn on the finger to push the needle.
Pin - Small sharp tools used to hold fabric pieces together before sewing.
Needle Threader - A tool to help thread the needle, especially helpful with small eye needles.
Knot - A fastening made at the end of a thread to prevent it from pulling through fabric.
Basting - Temporary, long stitches used to hold fabric in place before final stitching.
Tacking - Similar to basting, it's the technique of temporarily securing fabric with large stitches.
